Morning:

On day 3, you’ll visit Haleakalā National Park with a guide and watch a magnificent sunrise over Haleakalā volcano. Starting very early, you'll meet your guide at 1:45 A.M in the Haiku marketplace.

Your authorized interpretive guide will accompany you to the top of the volcano, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the landscape. You’ll learn about the local flora and fauna and may see Hawaii’s state bird, the Nene goose. If obstacles present themselves in your way, guides will be happy to assist you. The Haleakalā Visitor Center, Kalahaku Overlook, Park Headquarters Visitor Center, and Hosmer Grove are designated areas where you can find accessible restrooms.

Next, you'll have a short visit to the small town of Makawao to explore the town’s Hawaiian cowboy heritage, and you’ll then go to the popular surfing town of Pa’ia, where you’ll have breakfast in a local cafe. Your guide will tell you about Hawaiian history and culture throughout the tour. You’ll be dropped back at your hotel at the end of the tour.

Afternoon:

Later you will be taken back to your accommodation, have a rest or enjoy some free time before getting ready for your 2-hour whale-watching tour.

This tour offers scenic views and great opportunities to observe the nearby whales. The boat has three decks and a glass-bottomed seating area, offering different ways to see the whales, from way up high, through tinted windows at sea level, or below, under the sea. Whales might swim beneath the vessel, giving you a complete view from the bottom of the hull! Depending on the conditions, a unique sound machine might be available so you can listen to the sound of the whales.

The boat's first deck is wheelchair-accessible and accessed via a ramp. The crew will be on hand to help you board and provide assistance if necessary. There is an accessible restroom on board with a large stall and grab bars to accommodate people with disabilities.

Evening:

Once back to the shore, you will either drive back to your accommodation or have a nice goodbye dinner at a local Hawaiian place.
