According to archaeologists it housed over 1000 priests and attendants. It was built over an Inca palace dedicated to the worship of the Sun.
Then, you’ll head to the heart of the city, “the Plaza de Armas”, surrounded by colonial arcades and four churches. Here you’ll appreciate the façade of the beautiful “Cathedral” of Cusco, built in the XVI.
