Learn about street art as you explore Valparaiso’s rich history and colorful scenery. 
You will start your adventure in downtown Valparaíso, a Chilean port city known for its colorful clifftop homes and steep slopes, where you will meet your guide. They will then tour the city, explore some of its up-and-coming neighborhoods and admire its trendy street art. The city’s walls, buildings, and sprawling stairs are the canvas for many of the city’s local artists. Your local guide will tell you more about the city’s history and clue you in on fun facts about the street art you see at each stop along the way. Your guide will introduce you to a local artist at the Paseo Yugoslavo Plaza, who will teach you various spray painting techniques and allow you to make your own graffiti and leave your mark on the city. Once at the Paseo Yugoslavo plaza, take the time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the astonishing city views. Don’t forget to take memorable pictures before making your way back to the initial meeting point.

You will be picked up from your hotel by a van with accessibility features, and an hour and a half later, you will make your way to the Casablanca wineries. Your first stop will Casablanca’s leading wine producers – Casas del Bosque. Here is where you’ll be able to experience what it’s like to produce over 1.2 million bottles of wine a year, made from grapes only grown on the Casas del Bosque estate. For wheelchair users, exploring the vineyard terrain maybe require additional assistance – however, the rest of the winery features ramps and smooth terrain in the cellars, tasting area, and in the restaurant where you’ll be able to lunch with artfully designed wine pairings. 

After learning about wine’s history and origins you’ll make your way to Bodegas RE winery. This winery features ramps accessible and pathways in addition to a philosophy around REcreating, REinventing, and REvealing the historical development of ancestral wines. In fact, this family-owned vineyard still uses some of the same from clay jars used to ferment time for centuries. 

Finally, the tour will take you to to Viña Emiliana Vineyard to taste the fruits of organically grown wines. Over the past decade, Emiliana has become one of the leading organic and biodynamic vineyards in the world. Today this vineyard not only aims for universal accessibility but also tells the story of the Chilean people’s respect for their land and favorite drink.

Full Day Casablanca Winery Tour

On this fun, accessible activity, you will be able to learn circus skills in one of the beautiful public parks of Valparaiso. 

The activity includes a pick-up service from your Valparaiso hotel in an accessible vehicle. Staff have been trained to work with people with disabilities and can assist you to transfer, if necessary. 

From your hotel, you will be driven to either Parque Italia or Plaza Ruben Dario. Both of these central parks have step-free access and a drop-off zone near the entrance. The parks do not have bathrooms but stops can be organized at nearby public bathrooms, which have disabled-accessible toilet facilities. 

At the park, you will meet your guide and begin the circus skills workshop. You will see the guide perform amazing circus tricks in front of you, and they will also provide equipment like juggling clubs, diabolos and hoops so that you can learn how to perfect the tricks too. The guides have experience of working with people with disabilities and will adapt the workshop to suit your ability and interests. 

At the end of the 60-minute workshop, you will be driven back to your accommodation in an accessible vehicle.

Sit back, sip on wine, and enjoy a half-day wine tasting experience in Chile’s Casablanca Valley at one of the leading wineries.

In this fun, accessible cooking class, you will learn some of the secrets of Chilean cuisine. 

This activity will begin with a pick-up service from your hotel in an accessible minivan. Staff will be available to assist you to transfer, if necessary. You will then be driven to the Parque Cultural de Valparaiso, which has an elevator from the parking lot to the building, as well as accessible bathroom facilities. 

You will then meet your professional chef and begin your 60-minute Chilean cooking class. You will have the opportunity to learn about cuisine from Valparaiso, which includes dishes passed down through generations with origins from many countries, thanks to the city’s rich history.

Your chef will first show you how to make the famous Pisco Sour cocktail, a typical drink of Chile and Peru. You will measure out the ingredients, squeeze the limes and mix it all together in the cocktail shaker to achieve a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors. 

Next you will have a go at making Pebre, a classic condiment made with cilantro, onions, oil oil, garlic and spicy peppers. This dip is delicious when spread on bread, or is sometimes served as an accompaniment to meat dishes. 

The last specialty you will try your hand at is Sopaipilla. This dish, consisting of fried bread, may sound simple but when paired with cooked pumpkin, you will find out why it is so popular. 

Throughout the cooking class, your chef will share tips and secrets with you and can assist you to prepare the dishes, if necessary. All ingredients and equipment will be provided so you can relax and enjoy the experience. 

At the end of the cooking class, you will be driven back to your accommodation in an accessible vehicle.

Soar over the beautiful beachside town of Maitencillo, Chile, on an Adaptive Paragliding excursion. Once you leave the ground behind, you and a guide safely will float over the Chilean coast. This is an adventure filled with freedom and adrenaline – so strap in, relax, and take to the skies! 

No previous experience is needed to check this activity off your bucket list. You will be accompanied by an instructor at all times on this two-seater flight. These pilots are veteran fliers with over 15 years of experience assisting paragliders with disabilities. You and your instructor will comfortably sit in two chairs with 60cm of space as you glide over Maitencillo. So, get comfortable and let your pilot take off, fly and land with total control as you soar through the open skies.

Adaptive Paragliding over Maitencillo

Take to the skies and soar over the ocean and beachside town of Maitencillo, Chile, on an Adaptive Paragliding excursion.

On this fun, accessible activity, you will get the chance to sail a specially designed boat through Valparaiso Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

This activity will begin at the sailing center, where you will find a few disabled parking bays, as well as step-free access and changing facilities. 

At the center, instructors will be available to assist you to transfer into the sailing boats. The boats are designed with many body types in mind and so are suitable for many levels of physical ability, including for quadriplegics. The boat design also makes it impossible for the boat to capsize, so you can sail without worrying about falling in the water. 

The instructors will explain the simple joystick rudder and rigging that you will use to steer the boat, which are great for beginner sailors. 

You will then set sail, either alone or in a tandem. You will navigate the boat yourself through Valparaiso Bay, admiring the stunning views and feeling the wind in your face as you glide over the waves. The activity will last for 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to take in the surroundings.

On this accessible activity, you will learn how to scuba dive in the scenic Valparaiso Bay and discover a new world beneath the waves. 

When you arrive at the diving center, set in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Valparaiso Bay, you will be met by your instructors and have a short briefing. You will then watch a video which will explain the necessary safety and technical information you will need to know for your scuba dive. 

The diving center is accessible for people with mobility, visual, hearing and cognitive disabilities. There are disabled parking spaces, accessible bathroom and changing facilities and staff are trained to work with people of all abilities. The scuba diving training video has captions and auditory guidance will also be available. 

Once you have received your training and put on all the scuba diving equipment, you will get into the water via a jetty with a ramp. Accompanied by 2 diving instructors, you will submerge to a depth of approximately 5 meters (16 feet) below the water. You will have a chance to explore beneath the surface, before returning to sea level.
