On this accessible kayaking adventure, you will be able to explore the beautiful La Poza lagoon.

This half-day tour begins with a pick-up service from your accommodation in an accessible vehicle. The van has a ramp and assistance can be provided for transfers, if necessary. You will then drive approximately 15 km (9 miles) to a pier on La Poza lagoon. Here, you will get into your kayaks, which are specially adapted with support bars and hand or wrist adaptors to facilitate paddling. Your guide is trained to provide assistance to people with disabilities and will give you tips on the best kayaking techniques.

From the pier, you will navigate a thin channel of water which is only accessible to small boats. This channel is surrounded by reeds and weeping willow trees and is a haven for local wildlife species, including kingfishers, herons and reptiles. You will slowly paddle down the channel and onto the main lagoon, which offers great views of the surrounding landscape. The water of the lagoon is generally smooth and calm, making it ideal for less experienced kayakers.

After you’ve had a paddle, you can choose to pull over to the side of the lagoon for a quick break and a snack, if you wish. You will then return along the same channel back to the pier, where you will be picked up in an accessible van and driven back to your accommodation.
